Get a Library Card
Alger County residents or property owners may get a library card at no cost, which includes access to all Munising School Public Library materials, materials owned by Superiorland Library Cooperative libraries, items found in MeLCat, as well as free computer access and access to databases and the digital archive.
Non-residents may purchase a card and receive full privileges at the Munising School Public Library. Individual non-resident cards can be purchased for $25 per year.
To verify your residence, you must bring a valid Michigan Driver’s License, State ID or other official identification card with your name and current address on it. Please view our Circulation Policy for additional information regarding library card registration.

Online Library Card Registration
A library card is your ticket to the growing collections of print and digital materials and resources at MSPL. We are thrilled to offer the option for new users to sign-up for a temporary full-access library card online. After 30 days, you will need to come into MSPL to update and finalize your card.
